Obituary for Dale Pietig

Dale Henry Pietig, age 91, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family on Thursday, December 31, 2020. Dale was born on January 1, 1929 in Morgan, Minnesota to John & Josephine (Kerkoff) Pietig. He married Janice Jones on December 29, 1956. He served his country in the US Army. Dale was a farmer and worked as a salesman.
Dale enjoyed the outdoors, he like taking long walks, biking and fishing. He was also an avid card player, especially enjoying cribbage. He loved spending time with family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 64 years, Jan; children: Leslie (Gary) Severson, Julie (Peter) Hemze, Tim (Jean) Pietig, Mic (Kristi) Pietig and Shawna (Marc) Williams; grandchildren: Josh Pietig, Mariah Pietig, Sarah Hemze, Kayla Hemze, Jackson Williams, Wyatt Williams and Tucker Williams.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents and all 14 of his siblings.
Memorial service for Dale will be private and interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, near Little Falls.
