James Everett Allen, age 75, of Pillager passed away at Bethany Good Samaritan Society on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Jim was born in Staples to Harold and Beverly (Rice) Allen. He married the love of his life, Janice Carner, on October 18, 1969. Together they raised a daughter and a son. Jim worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for 33 years, retiring as a locomotive engineer. He had a huge collection of railroad memorabilia. He was very active in the Pillager Community, acting as Police Chief, Cass County Special Deputy, Jaycee’s and a Mason. Jim had a love for fishing and had received many trophies. His greatest love was his children and grandchildren, whom he adored and cherished.
Jim will be forever missed by his loving wife of 52 years, Janice; daughter, Rebecca Miller; son, Timothy Allen; siblings: Doug (Wanda) Allen, Sandy Johnson, Steve (Joni) Allen and Scott Allen; grandchildren: Aydin Miller, Elijah Miller and Onya Moore.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Jerry Allen.
A celebration of Jim’s Life will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 1PM at First Lutheran Church of Pillager. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.
