Obituary

Obituary for Lois Mae Reed

Lois Mae (Uhlenbrauck) Reed, 89, passed away December 20th, 2020 in Sartell, Minnesota. She was born to William and Viola Uhlenbrauck in Appleton, Wisconsin, on September 1st, 1931.
Lois graduated from Appleton High School. She had fond memories growing up on her family farm and spending the weekdays during her high school years along with her sister Marion at the home of her beloved grandparents, Ed and Allie Holz. After graduation Lois worked and lived in Fort Worth, Texas. It is there that she met and fell in love with Howard Reed. They married December 14, 1956. Their marriage followed the call to the ministry where Lois’s encouraging and giving spirit partnered to the role of a pastor’s wife. Always welcome at her table, her hospitality and positive outlook blessed the lives of so many. She gave out her chocolate chip cookies like the way she loved others- in abundance. Lois cherished her family which was reflected by the way she fervently prayed for each one and made all feel loved and important.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband Howard of 64 years. She is survived by her five children: Paul, Alan (Nancy Stevens), Joanne (Doug Cavalier), Jon (Wendy Johnson), and Beth (Daniel Wennblom): eleven grandchildren: and 7 great-grandchildren.
