Traci, Terri and family. Very sorry to hear of the loss of your mom. It is so hard losing a mom, yet, she blessed you with 91 years! Love the pictures and layout - especially how you pulled in her pride of being Irish. From one of my favorite prayers ever.

May the road rise to meet you, may the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your field
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

With sympathy, Terrie (Leitschuh) Schommer

I send my heartfelt condolences to you and your family. Your Phyllis sounds like a wonderful lady who made a big impact on her family, friends, and the Totino-Grace community. I am praying that good memories warm your hearts, and that time will soften your sadness. Special thoughts to Sophia Nesser, from a fellow Totino-Grace Class of 2009 alumna — Sarah N. Larson

The spirited matriarch of a large loving family, Phyllis was a second mom to so many of us! In my teens, I loved every minute at the Nesser household...her family lived and laughed out loud. And the race to raise the flags at the family's cabin in Luck will always make me smile. Proud of our shared heritage, Phyllis and I would run like crazy to raise the Irish flag before the Lebanese one. But she always blessed her kids with an appreciation of their beautiful blend of immigrant history in traditions and in her great cooking. Her Irish charm, gracious hospitality and loving warmth are a few of her many qualities that I will never forget. Prayers for the whole family during this time of loss and longing.

Always a joy to see Mrs. Nesser, greeting you with a giant smile and hug. First time I met her was in grade school. My life long friend Peggy Murphy and I walked from our homes to visit our grandparents and her cousins the Nessers. They all lived near St. Bridgets. Then Terri Nesser became friends with my sister Neva in high school. Terri helped at our weddings. Mrs. Nesser than lived Northeast right near us and we would run into her quite often at St. Charles. The last time we met up was the all important St. Patricks Day. She was with Eileen and Bridget Murphy. We all sat together and had the best time. A remarkable loving Irish woman who will remain in our hearts forever. Condolences to the entire family. May she rest in peace.
