Obituary for Virginia Ward

Virginia Ward, 90 year old resident of Brainerd, MN passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Home in Brainerd, MN. Virginia lived 90+ challenging years and survived many hurdles in life. She raised her daughters to strong and independent women whom she was immensely proud of. Virginia was their role model and inspirations in life. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
Virginia is survived by daughters, Patricia Treat of Springdale, AR, Sandra Ward of Casper, Wyoming, and Wendy Ward of Baxter, MN; special friend and caregiver, David Liebeg; siblings, Joyce Palkovich, Lois Kinn, Einar Nelson, Richard Nelson and Marilyn Tranby; 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Martha Nelson; husband, Lester Ward; daughter, Sue Evans; sister, Jetta Hopkins; brother, Ronald Olson and grandson, Wyatt Jacobs.
Gathering of family and friends on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 2-4PM at Halvorson Taylor Life Events Center.
